We have the pleasure to invite you to the 13th Library and Information Technology Today (LITT) 2019 National Workshop scheduled to hold at Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, from 7th – 11th October, 2019.

Rationale

The current information landscape is changing at a very fast pace as a result of emerging technologies and proliferation of information contents in varied forms. Consequent upon these, the demands for innovative library and information services is on the high hence, the need for Library and Information Professionals (LIPs) to be equipped with requisite skill for out of the box library and information services. This year’s LITT 2019 will focus on how LIPs can integrate information contents using both free and not so free technologies to provide cutting-edge library services to users.

Theme: “Technology and content integration for innovative library and information services”

Sub themes:

1. Optimizing mobile App technology for creating new library services:
2. Creating free real-time OPAC using Google App
3. Open technologies for managing library systems
4. Funding options for technology driven library services
5. Exposure to open technologies for scholarly communication and electronic publishing
6. Skills and technologies for digital preservation and web archiving
